Driver Trainer – Nairobi, Kenya.

A global bus and truck manufacturing company in the Automotive sector is looking to hire a Driver Trainer to be based in their Mombasa road offices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training drivers on the field and should be available to train on customers’ trucks. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role in the automotive and heavy-duty mechanical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the correct technical and practical training to all drivers from new and existing customers.
• Ensure to manage the right schedule for driver training.
• Prepare monthly reports to the sales manager on driver performance and customer schedule.
• Issue driver’s training certificates.
• Review the monthly driver’s performance in collaboration with sales manager to determine where improvements can be made.
• Analyze current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations.
• Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
• Ensure that all the sales team are up to date with the technical and practical training.

Qualifications: 

• Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree in automotive / Engineering.
• Must have Automotive and Heavy-duty mechanical knowledge.
• Must have a valid driver’s license – BCE and Special Type.
• Must have hands-on experience in driving heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Must have good knowledge in Ms Word.
• Must be detailed and training oriented.
• Must be a good team player with excellent communication skills.
• Must be well organized and excellent management skills.
• Must be mature, responsible and well organized.
