Jubilee Party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni has announced the relocation of the party headquarters in Nairobi from Pangani (Thika Road) to Kileleshwa, off Mandera Road. This comes months after an auctioneer announced plans to auction the building in a move to recover millions of shillings over a debt said to have fallen into default in 2021. “Our focus should be strengthening our county, constituency, and ward offices and recruiting more members as we mould and nurture the next generation of Jubilee Leaders,” Mr Kioni said on Wednesday. The then Deputy President and his allies eventually walked out of the building, as Dr Ruto channeled his energies on his then newly formed United Democratic Alliance (UDA). At the time, Dr Ruto's allies blamed President Kenyatta for the harassments they were being subjected to within the Jubilee Party, hence the need to seek comfort elsewhere, which led to the birth of UDA that produced the current president.
