Our client, a major Financial Multinational expanding to Africa is seeking to recruit a HR Head for Africa to be based in Nairobi – Kenya. The ideal candidate Must have extensive working experience in English and Anglophone speaking countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the business to the rest of the HR community.
- Assess HR implications of the business strategy, identify opportunities to further meet business needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior managers in order to drive the execution of HR programs.
- Represent the full spectrum of HR programs and processes to the business.
- Consult and support business in implementation of HR processes in respective business areas.
- Consult business on HR policies and processes in the region.
- Act as owner of all documentation and data for business.
- Generate reports or provide data as required, both for the business as well as within HR.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Human Resources. CIPD qualification would be a plus.
- At least 5 years ‘ experience in a similar position gained in an international environment.
- Knowledge of local employment law within Africa.
- French speaking would be an added advantage.
- Strong business acumen; thorough understanding of business goals, vision, culture and environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
- Strong sense of customer service Client and relationship management.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proactive, innovative and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical skills: ability to analyze data from multiple sources.
- Proven ability to operate successfully in a highly matrix global organization.
- Self-starter, self-motivated; ability to work autonomously.
- Collaborative team player.
