Our client, a fast-growing convenience chain store providing food and household products is looking to recruit a Baker. The ideal candidate should have 4 years’ experience and a certificate from culinary school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing quality bakery products, breads and pastries.
- Maintain consistent quality production of all products.
- Ensure compliance to safety and health standards and requirements.
- Test the baked items by tasting and smelling.
- Assist in menu planning and daily production planning.
- Follow up on special and daily orders.
- Ensure product freshness and food safety.
- Supervise dispatching of final products to all the stores.
Qualifications:
- Must have 4 years of baking experience in 2 or more establishments
- Must have a Certificate/Diploma in culinary schools.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritize and multitask.
- Knowledgeable in health safety and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of all bakery items, weights and measurements.
- Proactive and a problem solver.
- Flexibility in scheduling; evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays required.
- Team player, flexible and a quick learner.
