Our client, developer, owner and operator of power plants and infrastructure across sub-Saharan Africa are currently seeking to recruit a Procurement Manager be based in their Nairobi Offices but will regular visit to the site which will be based in Nakuru. The ideal candidate Must have experience working in a construction or power industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the procurement activities including the following activities.
- Implement the procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinating negotiations with suppliers and developing a database of pre-approved vendors.
- Conducting due diligence on prospective suppliers to ensure quality.
- Receiving supplier invoices and verifying information on Supporting documents (delivery notes and supply requisitions-LPO) in order to establish the accuracy of delivered.
- LPOs and initiate the purchase to pay process (P2P).
- Implementing a management information system for monitoring, tracking and controlling operating costs.
- Managing risk and maintaining a quality management system in the procurement unit.
Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience in dealing with international suppliers.
- Must have experience working in a construction or power industry.
- Must demonstrate knowledge in inventory accounting, inventory storage systems.
- Excellent planning skills and highly organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines.
- Can adapt quickly to different environments.
- Effective people & project management skills.
- Ability to perform at a high level, constantly with proven experience.
