A leading global agri-business operating from seed to shelf, in 70 countries, supplying food and industrial raw materials to over 23,000 customers worldwide, is looking for a focused and Result driven Area Sales Manager for its offices in Togo. The Successful candidate will be responsible for the sale of the organization’s products in Togo/Benin and provide ongoing support to product distribution channels. Frequent travel is required outside the local area and may include overnight stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist resellers with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Develop and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
- Become actively involved in a new resellers sales orientation and sales training programs.
- Act as a resource to resellers in contract opportunities and proposals.
- Assist resellers with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts.
- Assist with the planning of sales activations and attend Trade Shows.
- Participate in education & training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
- Coordinate and assist in leading sales meetings.
- Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
- Check on competitive activity and develop new methods of attaining resellers and assisting resellers in attaining new accounts.
- Troubleshoot problems regarding products provided.
- Answer questions from resellers and handles complaints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. MBA would be a plus.
- 8 to 10 years sales experience with an FMCG company.
- Customer/Client Focused.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills.
- Very good Presentation Skills.
- Availability to travel.
