Our client, a global trading, logistics and distribution multinational is seeking to recruit an HR & Administration Manager to be based in Nairobi. He/she will occasionally be expected to travel to Mombasa and other parts of Kenya. The desired candidate must have legal experience including matters ranging from contracting, legal risks, liaising with external counsels among others. The desired candidate must have at least 5 years’ HR experience handling a similar role in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing.
- Performance Management.
- Training & Talent Management.
- Budget and Cost Control.
- Payroll Administration.
- Review & Formulation of new policies.
- Manage company legal compliance.
- Handle immigration issues e.g. work permits.
- Assist the company in debt collection.
- Review contracts and agreements and see to it that they comply with the legal norms.
- Execute procedures for protecting patents, trademarks and industrial designs.
- Facility, Assets and Security Management.
- Ensure a proper and functional procurement process and supplies management.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a social science, HRM, HRD.
- Certified Human Resource Practitioner.
- Certificate/Diploma in Law is an added advantage.
- Arbitration and mediation skills.
- Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Kenya labor laws.
- Member of IHRM.
- Membership to Certified Human Resources Management Professionals Kenya is a must.
- Membership to the Law Society of Kenya is an added advantage.
