Our client, an upmarket camp in Masai Mara, is looking to recruit a Camp Host/Hostess. The ideal candidate MUST have experience in high-end properties. He/she MUST have experience working in a camp/lodge. The successful candidate will oversee the overall management of the guest experience at the camp.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or a related field.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Proactive with well-developed concepts on how to deliver world-class guest experience.
- Basic computer and financial skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Have excellent leadership qualities.
- Experience in stock management/control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management of guest experience at the camp.
- Daily sign off and coordination of bar stocks and other stocks.
- Daily checking of main areas and cleanliness.
- Hosting of all guests, agents, VIP and coordinating entertainment for single guests.
- Management of all guest areas and exceeding guest expectations.
- Improving guest experience through guest feedback and staff recognition.
- Assist in guest check-ins and welcome.
- Daily meeting with all staff and briefing on guest movements, delights, special requests & celebration.
- Deal with guests’ needs and complaints.
- Implement and live the camp’s culture of care throughout.
